With and grant from Plant a Tree in Africa a local NGO, Cameroon Gender and Environment Watch, has planted trees on the site of the new treatment and rehabilitation centre for disabled children.  Several different species have been planted for a variety of uses including for fruit and to act as a wind break. The work was undertaken in June 2016.

Trees planted:
10 Prunus africana – medicinal
10 Carapas grandifolia – shade -extensive root system
10 Pittisporum mannii – medicinal – beautiful – attracts birds
4 Maesa lancelata – attracts birds
10 Zyzigium staudtii – attracts birds and bees
3 Orange – fruit
5 Plum – fruit
15 cuttings Mulberry – fruit
4 Tamarillo – fruit
30 Eucalyptus – holds soil and will act as wind break
15 Podocarpus – wind break
30 Cypress – wind break
4 Ornamental palms
20 Various – for carving
6 Bottle brush – flower
2 Pear – fruit
4 Guavas – fruit
5 Groundnut – spice
